Sharlene Mae Brasee

Sharlene M. Brasee (Knapp) 89 of Wellington passed away on December 30th 2025 after a brief illness. She was born on October 10 1936 in North Ridgville, Ohio. Shar retired as a bus driver from Wellington schools where she also graduated in 1954.  She was a member of the Wellington Eagles Auxilary and the LaGrange Engine Club.  Shar married her high school sweetheart LeRoy to whom they were married for 68 years.  Shar is survived by her children Rick (Andrea), Terry (Tim) Murray, Bud (Diane), Jayne (Artie) Sword, Brenda Barber (Jeremy), 12 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandsons, brother Chuck (Theresa) Knapp, and brother in law Jerry (Sue) Brasee.  She was preceded in death by her husband LeRoy, sons Rex and LeRoy Jr., great granddaughter Ava Zvara, parents Calvin and Stella Knapp, brothers Calvin Jr., Al, Eugene and Bill Knapp.  There will be a celebration of life for LeRoy and Shar on Sunday January 25th at the Wellington Eagles 631 S. Main St. in Wellington from 1-4pm.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Rex Brasee Memorial Scholarship c/o Wellington Endowment Fund.  Burial will be private for the family.  Online condolences may be made to www.cowlingfuneralhomeoh.com
